The Royal Canadian Legion has, over time, grown
into a vibrant mixed-voice choir. As its mandate
broadened, so too did its membership—opening
its doors beyond veterans and Legion members
to include families, friends of those who served,
and all who share a commitment to remembrance.
Today, the PEI Legion Choir stands as one of only two remaining Legion choirs in Canada. Under the direction of Travis Boudreau, the ensemble gathers singers from across the Island and presents several performances each season.
Deeply rooted in Canadian pride, the choir has long championed the works of the country’s composers and songwriters, from Joni Mitchell, Leonard Cohen, Stan Rogers, Neil Young, and Ron Sexsmith to Stephen Hatfield, Robert Buckley, Dave Gunning, and many voices of Atlantic Canada.
Having marked its 60th anniversary in 2023, the choir now looks toward a province-wide centennial celebration honouring the Royal Canadian Legion’s official legislative recognition in 1926. Through this upcoming tour, the ensemble will bring music of remembrance and hope to communities across PEI.
At its heart, the PEI Legion Choir remains a living expression of service and song—honouring the past, engaging the present, and inviting all who listen into the shared act of remembrance.
